This is an outstanding resource for Emergency Medical Personnel. The topic of mental health & dealing with patients with mental health issues is almost non-existent in EMS training. Most instructors have little training and few resources to be able to pass on to EMS students before they embark on their career in public safety. It is one of the most dangerous calls to respond on and I applaud the authors for not only educating the EMS responder regarding mental health issues but also for giving EMS responders tools for keeping them safe and be able to deescalate the event.
